This policy explains what data Dimviz (“we”, “us”) collects when you use dimviz.com, and how we handle it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.

Your section files stay in your browser

The core tools are client-side. When you build a section or import a DXF, CSV or Excel file, that geometry is processed in your browser. We do not upload, store or retain your CAD files or sections on our servers. Close the tab and the data is gone.

What we do collect

• Anonymous usage analytics — aggregated page views and events (no attempt to identify you), to understand which tools are useful.
• Contact details you provide — if you email us or request early access to a paid plan, we receive the email address and message you send.
• Standard server logs — our host records basic request data (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability.

Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the site to function, and may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your personal information.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes requests to deliver it. Any analytics provider we use processes usage data on our behalf under its own terms. We do not share your section files with third parties because we do not collect them.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you may opt out of analytics. Because we store very little, most requests are straightforward. Contact us to exercise any right.

Children

Dimviz is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 16.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
